Experience in Action
ROBERT M. MILLIMET
Rob Millimet makes litigation look easy. After all, he has more than 20 years of experience with winning advocacy in commercial and intellectual property matters. Clients appreciate how Rob deftly breaks down their complex business and legal issues—regardless of industry or area of law—and identifies the key elements that inform the legal strategy. In the courtroom, he has successfully served as first- and second-chair trial counsel in federal and state jury and bench trials, in private arbitrations and mediations, and in federal and state court appeals—including briefing and arguing before the Texas Supreme Court.
After graduating with high honors from the University of Michigan and with high distinction from the University of Iowa College of Law, Rob served for two years as a judicial clerk for the Staff Attorney Office for the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit in St. Louis, Missouri. From there, he entered his private practice career at Missouri’s largest law firm—where he was appointed to represent a federal habeas petitioner in a capital case. Rob then moved to Dallas, Texas to work at one of the largest law firms in the world. He went on to work at several litigation boutiques, including a 15-year tenure at a firm with offices in Dallas and New York City.
When he is not simplifying his clients’ lives, Rob and his wife Sandra enjoy rooting for their two sons at their myriad sporting events. They also enjoy tending to their dogs, dining out, traveling, and spending time with their friends and extended family. And when Rob is in the office, Sandra can be found volunteering with the boys’ many organizations—including Greenhill School, North Texas Warriors Youth Hockey, Inc., and Plano West Hockey Club.
